The Chinese authorities closely control all activities and travel within
Tibet by mountaineers from foreign countries. We are assigned a bus
leader / interpreter and a driver and they are with us the entire time. Our
itinerary and movements are closely controlled. At every town there are
police / military blockades where we must show passport, visa, and other
documents. As for climbing, all climbing in Chinese-controlled Tibet is by
permit only and if the CMA / CTMA (China Tibet Mountaineering
Association) will not issue you a permit for a particular peak, we cannot
climb it. If no permits are available for Mt Kailash, no-one is going to
climb it, because to mount an illegal climb of a peak like this would be
very difficult. There are too many pilgrims and permitted tourist / trekker
activities in the vicinity for a climbing team to go undetected.
Rooms / Accommodation
How many days : Rooms and Tent
Accommodation facilities we shall try to provide good and clean rooms in
hotels. There is no star category for the hotels. So rooms are medium
good. We shall try to provide good rooms based on the availability. We
cannot guarantee. And this is not a pleasure trip. So if any
inconvenience, you may have to adjust with this trip. In some hotels, you
may not get any lift. So you have to walk in stairs /floors. May be till 3 or
4 floors.So please carry small baggage for the travel. If you bring big
trolleys, its difficult for you when you check in and check out the hotel.
Because many places, they don’t have anybody to serve us in hotel and
some of the hotel have no lift facilities. So please come with medium
2 persons – 1 room.
In Manasarover, the accommodation will be 4 or 5 sharing in a medium
large room or in a high quality tent. During the parikraman, we provide
the Guest House / Tent, depends on the availability.
People who are not coming for the parikraman, let them remain in
Manasarover, where we shall provide the accommodation and food.
Everyday you may remain there and take Holy dip in the sacred lake
No A/c rooms.

History of Kailash
Every great thing has an even greater history behind it, whether it’s a historical Human being or a historical monument. A great mass of black rock soaring to over 22,000 feet, Mt. Kailash has the unique distinction of being the world's most venerated holy place at the same time that it is the least visited. The supremely sacred site of four religions and billions of people, Kailash is seen by no more than a few thousand pilgrims each year. This curious fact is explained by the mountain's remote location in far western Tibet. No planes, trains or buses journey anywhere near the region and even with rugged over land vehicles the journey still requires weeks of difficult, often dangerous travel. The weather, always cold, can be unexpectedly treacherous and pilgrims must carry all the supplies they will need for the entire journey.
How long have people been coming to this sacred mountain? The answers are lost in antiquity, before the dawn of Hinduism, Jainism or Buddhism. The cosmologies and origin myths of each of these religions speak of Kailash as the mythical Mt. Meru, the Axis Mundi,the center and birth place of the entire world. The mountain was already legendary before the great Hindu epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, were written. Indeed, Kailash is so deeply embedded in the myths of ancient Asia that it was perhaps a sacred place of another era, another civilization, now long gone and forgotten.
Hindus believe Mt.Kailash to be the abode of Lord Shiva. Like many of the Hindu gods, Shiva is a character of apparent contradictions. He at once the Lord of Yoga and therefore the ultimate renunciate ascetic,yet he is also the divine master of Tantra, the esoteric science that the most perfect path to spiritual enlightenment. According to legend,immortal Shiva lives atop Kailash where he spends his time practicing yogic austerities, making joyous love with his divine consort, Parvati,and smoking ganja, the sacred herb known in the west as marijuana,Hindus do not interpret Shiva's behaviors as contradictory however,but rather see in him a deity who has wisely integrated the extremes of human nature and thus transcended attachment to any particular, and limited, way of being. For a Hindu, to make the arduous pilgrimage to Kailash and have the darshan (divine view) of Shiva's abode is to attain release from the clutches of ignorance and delusion.This prestigious mountain has a chain of histories related to it in 4 different religions. All the four religions which are Hinduism, Buddhism,Jainism and Bon religion have momentous stories related to the pristine Mount Kailash.
The Jains call the mountain Astapada and believe it to be the place where Rishaba, the first of the twenty-four Tirthankaras attained liberation. Followers of Bon, Tibet's pre-Buddhist, shamanistic religion,call the mountain Tise and believe it to be the seat of the Sky Goddess Sipaimen. Additionally, Bon myths regard Tise as the sight of a legendary 12th century battle of sorcery between the Buddhist sage Milarepa and the Bon shaman Naro Bon-chung. Milarepa's defeat of the shaman displaced Bon as the primary religion of Tibet, firmly establishing Buddhism in its place. While the Buddha is believed to have magically visited Kailash in the 5th century BC, the religion of Buddhism only entered Tibet, via Nepal and India, in the 7th century AD. Tibetan Buddhists call the mountain Kang Rimpoche, the 'Precious One of Glacial Snow', and regard it as the dwelling place of Demchog (also known as Chakrasamvara) and his consort, Dorje Phagmo. Three hills rising near Kang Rimpoche are believed to be the homes of the the Bodhisatvas Manjushri, Vajrapani, and Avalokiteshvara.
In the Hindu mythology, Mount Kailash has tremendous significance,importance and acknowledgement, whether it is the Purans or the Vedas. Kailash Mansarovar is considered to be the home of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati along with Devtas, Ganas, Yakshas, Yogis,Siddha Purushas and Gandharvas. It is said that Shiva the lord of destruction and regeneration sits at the peak of the mountain and meditates there. According to Skanda Purana, Supreme Hindu text, Kailash Mansarovar is Supreme Mountain where Lord Shiva resides and
thus the name Kailash Mansarovar came into being. Kailash means the mountain where God Shiva lives and Mansarovar is the holy lake where lord Shiva and Indra swam as Swans.
According to the Hindu Mythology, the lake Mansarovar was first created by Lord Brahma in his mind, after which it was materialized on Earth. Thus in Sanskrit it is known as and lsquo;Manasarovar’ which is the combination of words ‘Manasa Sarovaram and rsquo; which means ‘mind’ and ‘lake’. The lake is also known for its summer abode for Hamsa or swan. These birds are considered as sacred in the Hindu Dharma and an important element in the symbology of the subcontinent,representing wisdom and beauty. Another story from Hindu mythology describes the origination of the lake Mansarovar in a completely different manner. According to the scriptures, the hand of Sati fell at the foot of the great mountain creating the pristine Mansarovar Lake.And thus it is considered as the one of the 51 Shakitpeethas of Sati.During summer when the snow melts, it generates a sound of a kind.People believe that it is the sound of the drum carried by lord Shiva.Also it is said that the Neelkamal or the blue waterlily blooms and looks only in the direction of Mount Kailash during this time.The lake Mansarovar is personified as the purest of pure, if one drink its water it is said that he gets cleansed of his sins committed over a hundred lifetimes and he go to the abode of Lord Shiva itself. It is also said that during the time of 3 to 5 in the morning Lord Brahma and the devas descends on the lake to bathe and thus the hour is considered as spiritual and known as Brahma Muhurta, Brahma’s auspicious time.
The Majestic Parvat Kailash is not just known for its peculiar shape or hugeness, but it is symbolized as the spiritual center of the Earth. As found in one of the descriptions in the Puranas, Mount Kailash is the center of the world and its four faces are made of crystal, ruby, gold,and lapis lazuli. It is termed as the pillar of the world with a height of 84,000 leagues and is located at the heart of six mountain ranges symbolizing a lotus. It also believed that the four rivers flowing from Kailash which are the Sutlej, Brahmaputra, Karnali and Indus divides the world into four parts. Also the rock-cut temple Ellora in Maharashtra is named after Kailash and many of its sculptures depicts the stories of Shiva and Parvati, including the incident when Ravana tried to shake the great Kailash.As it was the home of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, the mountain expounds the philosophy of Purusha and Prakriti that is Shiva and Shakti. The radiant Silvery summit is the throne of Truth, Wisdom and Bliss-Sachidanandam. The primeval sound ‘Aum’ by which a person connects to Lord Shiva the most, is formed by the tinkling anklets of
Lalita Prakriti or Adi Para Shakti. The mantra Aum formed by Adishakti created the visible patterns of the universe and the Vibrations from the feet of Shiva weaved the essence of Atman - the ultimate truth, in this universe. The spreading resonance and limitless patterns constitute the grosser forms of all matters to accurate scale.This is the cosmic dance visualized in millions of forms by the devotees. The silvery mount is the apex where the sound and the lights merge and the true Yogi transcends both these and merges into Aum. Mind is the knot which ties consciousness and matter together but all these factors are set free here at the Parvat. This is the heart of Indian Philosophy, religion and civilization and the grand Kailash Manasarovar reflects the total Shaivam consciousness.
Pilgrims to Kailash, after the difficult journey getting there, are then confronted with the equally arduous task of circumambulating the sacred peak. This walking around the mountain (clockwise for the Buddhists, counter-clockwise for Bon adherents) is known as a Kora,or Parikrama, and normally takes three days. In hopes of gaining extra merit or psychic powers however, some pilgrims will vary the tempo of their movement. A hardy few, practicing a secret breathing technique known as Lung-gom, will power themselves around the mountain in only one day. Others will take two to three weeks for the Kora by making full body prostrations the entire way. It is believed that a pilgrim who completes 108 journeys around the mountain is assured enlightenment. Most pilgrims to Kailash will also take a short plunge in the nearby, highly sacred (and very cold) Lake Manosaravar. The word 'manas' means mind or consciousness; the name Manosaravar means Lake of Consciousness and Enlightenment. Adjacent to Manosaravar is Rakas Tal or Rakshas, the Lake of Demons. Pilgrimage to this great sacred mountain and these two magical lakes is a life changing experience and an opportunity to view some of the most magical scenery on the entire planet.

Boudhanath Stupa : The Boudhanath stupa is known to be the holiest temple grounds in Kathmandu. Over the years,the temple has remained active after it was declared a UNESCO world heritage in 1979.The temple is also known as Boudha Chorten Chempo. It has a diameter of 120 meters. Therefore, it is the largest temple and sacred ground in Nepal. Boudhanath stupa is built to take an octagonal shape. It is also fitted with prayer wheels which surround it. Also, from the interior, the temple is decorated with hanging cloths which are in a wide variety of colors.
The Boudhanath stupa temple is decorated with fire, colors, and water. Also, there are several Boudha monasteries, priests, and servants who live in the temple. Therefore, the temple remains a holy ground and the utmost center for Buddhism religion. Here are some reasons why you should find it interesting to visit this temple:
The Center for Buddhist Community : Boudhanath stupa hosts different religious ceremonies for the Nepal and Tibet people. Pashupathinath Temple :
History of Pashupathinath Temple
The exact date of Pashupatinath’s construction is unknown. Despite this fact, the Pashupatinath is considered the oldest Hindu temple of Kathmandu. The earliest evidence of the temple’s existence dates back to 400 A.D. The current main temple of Pashupatinath complex was built in the end of the 17th century to replace the previous one, destroyed by termites. Countless smaller temples were constructed around the main temple on both banks of Bagmati River during the last few centuries. There are numerous legends, connected with the construction of the temple. The most famous one claims, that the temple was built on the site where Shiva lost one of his antlers, while he was in the guise of a deer. He and his wife arrived to the bank of Bagmati and amazed by the beauty of the site decided to change themselves into deers and walk in the surrounding forests. After a while gods and humans decided to return them to their duties, but Shiva rejected to return and they had to use force. In the fight Shiva lost one of his antlers, which later became the first lingam worshipped by Hinduists in Pashupatinath. Later this relic was lost, and according to another legend, found again by a herdsman, whose cow showed the location of lingam by irrigating the place it was buried with her milk. Pashupatinah is a place where century-old Hindu rituals are practiced in their astonishing initial form, giving a chance to the visitors to feel the unique spirit of Hindu traditions of life, death and reincarnation. Pashupathinath Temple Foreigners are not allowed in this temple. One of the most sacred Hindu temples of Nepal – Pashupatinath Temple is located on both banks of Bagmati River on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. Pashupatinath is the most important temple dedicated to god Shiva. Every year this temple attracts hundreds of elderly followers of Hinduism. They arrive here to find shelter for the last several weeks of their lives, to meet death, be cremated on the banks of the river and travel their last journey with the waters of the sacred river Bagmati, which later
meets the holy river Ganges. Hinduists from every corner of Nepal and India are arriving here to die. It is believed that those who die in Pashupatinath Temple are reborn as a human, regardless of any misconduct that could worsen their karma. The exact day of their death is predicted by astrologers of the temple. If you are attracted to the places where the spirit of death can be felt, then consider Pashupatinath as your first destination. It is a temple with special atmosphere of death; death is present in almost every ritual and every corner of it.
Budhanilkantha Temple is located at the base of the Shivapuri hill, at the northern side of the Kathmandu valley. The temple is also known as mystical Budhanilkantha temple or Narayansthan temple. ‘Budhanilkantha’ literally means ‘Old Blue Throat’. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu has many incarnations. One of them is the Narayan, the creator of all life and the god who rests on cosmic sea. The 5m-long image of Vishnu as Narayan was created in the 7th century from one huge piece of stone. This image is impressive and the shrine is one of the most important
Vishnu shrine in the country. It was sculpted during the Licchavi period, probably somewhere outside the valley, and laboriously dragged here. Narayan lies peacefully on a most unusual bed: the coils of the multiheaded snake, Ananta or Shesha. The snake’s 11 hooded heads rise protectively around Narayan’s head. Narayan’s four hands hold the four symbols of Vishnu: a chakra disc (representing the mind), a conch shell (the four elements), a mace (primeval knowledge), and a lotus seed (the moving universe). Vishnu is supposed to sleep through the four monsoon months, waking up at the end of the monsoon. A great festival takes place at Budhanilkantha each November, on the day Vishnu is supposed to awaken from his long annual slumber. The sleeping Vishnu image, which lies in a small sunken pond enclosure, attracts a constant stream of pilgrims and devotees from all around Nepal and India.
The Deity of Lord Vishnu lies prominently at 5 meters in length inside a tank 13 meters long giving the impression of floating. It is thought that the Deity is approximately 1500 years old and is believed to have been sculpted during the Licchavi period, around about the 7th or 8th century. A fascinating feature of the Lord Vishnu Deity is his large frame carved out of a single block of stone, black in nature and foreign to the valley planes. When described he embodies many fascinating features and all symbolic in their own right. But it is through the four hands that you will find four symbols of Vishnu which are the: chakra or disc, conch-shell, lotus flower and the club. His legs are crossed with his sleeping body resting on the coils of Ananta: the cosmic serpent and his 11 hooded heads.
It is alleged in times past that a farmer and his wife occupied a farm in this area and while cultivating the land they struck the Deity and immediately afterwards blood began to filter from the ground and thus the lost deity of Budhanilkantha was recovered and placed in its rightful position. It is a common practice for the Hindus to walk down to Vishnu’s feet to touch them but it is forbidden for foreign visitors to do the same. Budhanilkantha has become the site on which Haribondhini Ekadashi takes place during late October or the beginning of November. It is the principle festival for the year in celebration of the awakening of Lord Vishnu from his long sleep; a notable time for thousands of people. Today the formidable temple of Budhanilkantha, interestingly enough, even provides a guest house, unthought-of till now.

KATHMANDU - NAGARKOT
On the 3rd day of the tour, the revered Yatra begins very early in the morning.
Swoyambhunath Stupa : Located atop a hill west of Kathmandu city, the Swayambhunath complex has been in use since the 5th century A.D. and consists of a magnificent domed stupa, as well as a variety of shrines and temples. Each temple is extremely ornate and richly decorated with gold and vibrant prayer flags, though it’s not only the spiritual décor that draws visitors. This sacred pilgrimage site is also home to hundreds of monkeys considered holy to Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus. According to legend, Manjushree, the bodhisattva of wisdom, was in the process of raising the temple hill when the lice in his hair transformed into these monkeys. Swayambhunath means self-arisen and is derived from that legend.
The story alone provides enough inspiration for visitors to struggle through the climb to the temple, and the sights at the summit are worth the trek. From the top of the hill, visitors can see a panorama of the Kathmandu valley, along with playful monkeys swinging from trees and prayer flags hanging around the colorful temple.
Although the monkeys are somewhat active during the day, the stupa truly becomes a monkey temple at night when hundreds of monkeys frolic in the sacred area and even slide down the banister of the primary structure.
Sunrise / Sunset and Himalayan view : the morning, you will enjoy the panoramic of mountain range in the eastern side and majestic sunrise. Nagarkot is a famous view point for the sunning views of sunrise and sunset. It also offers superb views of mountain ranges of Annapurna, Ganesh, Manaslu, Langtang, Everest, Jugal and Rolwaling. The hiking trail is filled with exotic forest and offers glamorous views of mountains and traditional hamlets. The trail from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel is mostly down hill and trail leads you to Rhonnie Bhangyang (Pass). At your left from the Rhonnie Pass, you can enjoy the beautiful Panchkhal Valley and also the Himalayas over the horizon.

Syabrubesi lies in one of the most beautiful countries to visit in the world, Nepal. Syabrubesi, Nepal lies in the Langtang National Park, a famous trekking region in Nepal. Recently, China government has opened Nepal-Tibet (China) border, Kerung also spelled as Gyirong to the third country travelers planning to visit by land from early September, 2017. Also, this Rasuwagadi- Kerung border crossing is elevated to international status.
Tibet government announced that the Rasuwagadi-Kerung border crossings, the one and only active border connecting Nepal to China’s autonomous region Tibet, have become international. this is the major concern for the both countries as this route will become the major International Crossing Border to south Asian countries from China via Nepal and good for bilateral Trade and Tourism. The Kerung Border lies in Rasuwa district and 175Km away from Kathmandu. Please note that the road from the Tibet—Nepal border to Kathmandu is a very rough and poor dirt road. Even in good, dry conditions, this road can take 8 to 10 hours to travel. Most of the road is dirt Drive to Nepalese border Rasuwagadi . After immigration formalities the group will cross the border on foot to reach China side. The pilgrims are then transferred on Tourist bus for onward drive to Kyirong thil. We travel in sturdy and comfortable vehicles that are controlled and guided by Tibetans. The accompanying Nepalese Sherpas get into the coaches after loading the food materials water etc and the onward journey into the Tibetan/Chinese region continues toward the town of Kyirong thil. On arrival, check into room and take rest for today. Nepali kitchen crew will serve hot tea or coffee with light snacks within short interval of time, after setting their kitchen. Km : 185 Km & Attitude : 4500 m The highway is mostly occupied by the long queue of lorry and trucks. However, the condition of the highway is, yet, much vulnerable for tourists to cross the border. Roads are very rough and uneven, which compels jeep or any means transportation to spend most of its time on the road to reach this short distant border.
Described as the “Valley of Happiness”, Kyirong Valley lies in the shadow of the massive Himalayas in the far west of Tibet, filled with a lush landscape of green fields and small rural hamlets. Isolated behind the high mountains, this stunning valley is often passed through without a thought, and many travelers to Tibet from Nepal miss out on what is possibly the most beautiful valley in the world. With many of the locals not having seen many western tourists, stepping into this stunning valley is like stepping back in time, as this part of Tibet has changed very little in the past few hundred years.
Nestled amongst the mighty Himalayas, this beautiful valley has some of the best views of the mountains around it, with Langbo Kangri to the west and the spectacular Mount Shishapangma to the east. Venture a little further west into the side valleys that branch off from the main valley floor, and you get a great view of Mount Manaslu, one of the
popular trekking areas in Nepal. In the eastern branch valleys, you can clearly see the peak of Mount Cho Oyu, and in the distance, if the weather is clear, you can just see the summit of Mount Everest poking its head above the rest of the Himalayas.
Saga ("happy land") is an army town with a Chinese garrison which patrols the whole length of the Tibetan-Nepalese border (and often conducts target practice with machine guns very close to the town). Saga straddles the Dargye Tsangpo river above its junction with the Brahmaputra River. It is strategically located at the junction of three roads - the Lhartse road coming from the east, the Dzongka road from the south and the Purang and Drongpa roads from the west. Saga is also an important stop-off point for pilgrims and tourists on the way to visiting Mount Kailash being the last town on the southern route with supplies for travellers, having both a store and a restaurant and several guest houses and hotels. Km : 480 Km & Attitude : 4560 m We have very important day today as we are heading to the holiest place at Lake Manasarovar. Lake Manasarovar is among the world’s highest fresh-water lakes. At an elevation of 4,583 meters, the lake covers 412 square kilometers. With the northern part broader than the southern end, the deepest point of the lake is over 70 meters. The lake is purer than a sapphire and one can see through dozens of meters into the lake. The lake is located in the Burang County, 20 km southeast of the Mount Kailash. As believed by bathing and drinking this water one becomes fortunate and clears all his sins of a hundred lifetimes. Be warned, however, that the sins of a hundred lifetimes tend to make their hasty exit by way of the nearest toilet. Make sure that you
thoroughly purify Lake Manasarovar’s sacred waters before you drink them As per the Hindu mythology it is believed, Lake Manasarovar was formed by Lord Brahma, who is the creator god. He found it to be an appropriate place for religious rituals. Hid 12 sons, who were also holy men performed rituals and austerities on the dry land at the site. And to give them a more appropriate place to earn value, Lord Brahma created a wonderful lake which today is known as - Lake Manasarovar. And as per Buddhist religion, theyrelate Manasarovar with Anotatta Lake. It is said that Lord Buddha was conceived at this very lake, as stated in the legends Lord Buddha's mother was brought on the lake by the gods and as she bathed in the sacred waters of Manasarovar her body was purified. Later she saw a white elephant running to her from Mount Kailash and Lord Buddha entered her womb. In Tibetan language, Manasarovar means “invincible lake”. In “Regions In Great Tang”, wrote by monk Xuanzang, Lake Manasarovar was regarded as the sacred Yaochi Lake of Nirvana. In the 11th century Buddhism won in the competition against the local Bon Religion and changed the lake’s name from “Machui Co” into “Manasarovar”, which means the “Invincible Lake”, in the hope of winning more believers in Tibet. In Tibetan Buddhism, it is believed that bathing with the water of Manasarovar will drive off avaricious desires, troubled thoughts and past sins; drinking the water will keep healthy and away from disease; while circling the lake will bring boundless beneficence to the pilgrims. Thus all the pilgrims to Tibet will come to Manasarovar and regard circling and drinking from the lake as their greatest fortune. Throughout the year, numerous pilgrims and visitors are attracted to the holy Mt. Kailash and the Lake Manasarovar. It is also 1 of 3 Holy Lakes in Tibet (the other 2 are Namtso Lake and Yamdroktso Lake) Every summer, flocks of swans will gather on the lake, bringing grace and life to the area. Legend says that the fish in the lake can cure sterility, dystocia, dropsy and other illnesses. Chemical analyses show that the lake water indeed contains various types of minerals. At just 3 kilometers away from Manasarovar, the “Ghost Lake” La’ang is a salt water lake. With high winds and rapid currents, it’s difficult for fish or weeds to grow. Km : 30 Km & Attitude : 4600 m The best time to visit the Lake is between 3 AM and 5 AM in the morning. This period is known as the Brahmamuhurta— the time when the Gods come to bath in the lake! Mysterious Lights People who halt a night at the Kailash or rather at Lake Mansarovar have seen two lamp like lights following each other in the dark sky. These are white lights which are like dots but clearly visible to human eye and are also always in movement. Sometimes the firmament over the Lake is also illuminated by mysterious lights – people believe these lights belong to self-realized sages living at Kailash. Every year, a number of people head to Mansarovar to take a dip in the holy lake.

Splashing of Water by the Invisible Beings Early in the morning, during Brahma muhurat, people living in tents have heard the splashing of the water of the Mansarovar. They have also heard the sounds of ornaments. As per one account, a lady stepped out of her tent and though she could see no one, she saw movement of water. There are stories that the Sapta Rishis, the seven sages mentioned in Indian mythology come and bathe every morning at the Mansarovar Lake.
Darchen is a small village with an altitude of about 4,700 meters, in the south of Kailash monutain, is where the starting point of the Kailash Cora. It is only a one-day bus drive approxiamtely 340 kilometers from the town of Ali (Shiquanhe) the capital town of Ngari. Darchen is also called as “Tarchen” or “Taqin in chinese pingyin”. It was formerly an important Sheep and Yak station for the nomads and their herds. Until 1994, there were just 4 or 5 permanent buildings. In 1995, a medical center was founded and built sponsored by Swiss which has become a training center for doctors. After nearly 20 yrs developing, it now contains about 12 small restaurants and several hotels, guesthouses; among of which the Gang Dis Hotel is where Public Security Bureau officers are stationed from March till to November. In additon to that, there are a number of grocery stores, and camping sites. There is not much to see there, but you can leave unneeded luggage in the locked storerooms or rent gear, packed animals, among other things to make your trip more convenient.

We start our Parikarma. This is the the First day of Parikarma. We will walk around 12 km. Yamdwar is the starting point of the kailash parikarma which is 8 km northwest of the Darchen. In the season of the mt Kailahs there are gathering many Yaks, and horses to carry people. Yam is the goddes of the death, this is the judgement places of the merit of the soul. Every year tibetan people gathering the ceremoney stand the pole of the flag in the fourth lunnar calendar, according to the tibetan calendar. People all over the tibet gatehring there. if the flag inclined to the mt. kailash it is the bad omen. Even it is far from the Kailash it is bad omen. so, stand up the flag is the good omen and prosperity. If you aren’t able to walk , It’s better “ Not to Go “ . Come back is possible with 200 Yen or more paying but it’s not guaranteed and depends of the availabilities of cars for Darchan Drop Porters are available for 400 Yen for 3 days with 3kg maximum un hand bag. DIRAPHUK – DOLMA LA PASS– ZUTHULPHUK
Km : 22 Km Trek & Attitude : 4700 m (DOLMA LA PASS : Attitude : 5600M) Day 11 is going to be the second day of Kailash Parikrama. Have an early morning breakfast and start the yatra as early as possible. We will walk around 22 KM.
The Kailash mansarovar yatra trek today is a difficult one where you walk pass Dolma-La Pass that lies at an altitude of 5400 m. The trek is said to be difficult as the pass is known to have unpredictable weather as any time there can be a snowstorm. The trek should start as early as possible in the morning. The Climb is from 4800 metres to 5700 metres. Be deliberately slow and use the walking stick. Whenever you feel tired, stop, rest and then proceed. It will take about 2 hrs to reach shiva stahl. It is the burial ground. Buddhist pray " Dirjejigies" (Lord of Death - Yama). Offerings are made here in the form of hair, nails, blood, clothing etc. Some buddhist devotees will sit at this place and visualise their death and act as if they are dead. Dying at thsi place is considered as virtuous. A little further, Kailash projects out in a sharp conical form
behind the jutting peak of Manjughosha. After half an hour of steep climb, you reach at the summit of Dolma La (5700 metres). On the way, halt at Gaurikund for darshan. Continue the trek till you arrive at Zhulthulphuk. This sit has tents and mud houses for overnight stay. Here, 8 km of walk is very risky, if we have any problem to come back and if we ask any local help, we need to pay minimum 500 Yen. We have to pay. Gaurikund

It is more or less a flat trek. However, there are some streams to cross. During the last leg of journey, one can have the grand view of Barkha plains, Holy Lake Mansarovar Rakshasa Taal and majestic Gurla mandhata. Km : 480 Km & Attitude : 4500 m After breakfast we begin our journey towards Saga, by completing the remaining course (approx. 30%) of parikrama of Lake Manasarovar. Paryang is a village and township in Zhongba County, Shigatse, Tibet. It is about a 7-hour drive from Saga County and one of the popular stops for a Mount Kailash trip.
